Tasting :
The only grape variety in Alsace to produce red or rosé wines, Pinot Noir has red fruit aromas and soft tannins.
Our Pinot Noir is vinified as a red wine. It is light in structure to preserve its aromas, with a fine red colour. It has an expressive bouquet of red fruit (cherry, raspberry and blackcurrant).
On the palate it is frank and direct, an aromatic red wine (with the same cherry, raspberry and blackcurrant flavours) with the presence of a discreet tannic structure.
« A trendy wine that is both complex and aromatic but light to drink »
Food pairing :
Its originality scores when paired with red meat, game, pierrades and fondues (notably Chinese), ham hock, beef bourguignon, roast leg of lamb, charcuterie, goat’s cheese or gruyere. The ideal summer barbecue wine with friends.
Ageing :
A rosé Pinot Noir is meant to be drunk young, but a richer red Pinot Noir can age well, in general up to 10 years. Serve it at 10° to 12°C.
